The case of French Montana's MC4 continues to grow stranger as the album preorder has suddenly vanished from iTunes. The rapper's latest project has suffered a number of push backs, with French saying back in August, "Due to some sample clearances that are still being worked out, I have to move the album release date."

However, a week after French took to Twitter to apologize for the wait, Epic president L.A. Reid said it was a lack of buzz that caused the push back. “French is incredible and a beloved artist. And he deserves a moment, a real moment of monster success," Reid said. "And that’s what we’re aiming for. And we didn’t want a calendar to dictate that for us. We want it to really happen organically and naturally.”

In the time since he released his Wave Gods mixtape in February, French has dropped a number of singles from MC4 including "Said N Done" featuring A$AP Rocky, "No Shopping" featuring Drake, "Lockjaw" featuring Kodak Black and "Figure It Out" featuring Kanye West and Nas. The last three have even received video treatments, making delays all the more peculiar.

Adding to the irregular roll out, Target even began to sell the album despite the hold placed on it.

French's debut album Excuse My French dropped in May of 2013 with singles "Pop That" and "Ain't Worried About Nothin.'" While the new singles mentioned above haven't quite resonated the same way, the album delays continue to leave the status of French's sophomore release in question, with the disappearance on iTunes a discouraging sign.
