This is big. Fergie—the front-woman for the Black Eyed Peas—announced on Hot 97's "Ebro In The Morning" that her and Nicki Minaj teamed up for a new track on her upcoming album.

While the title of the track remains unknown, Fergie did convey that she would possibly consider dropping it before the end of 2014. This album will mark her first in over eight years. In addition to Nicki, Fergie called upon Mike WiLL Made-It, Rae Sremmurd, and Will.I.Am. for her new project. She already nabbed YG for her first single "L.A. Love," which she will perform at the American Music Awards November 23.

As far as Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea serving as her competition is concerned, Fergie explained that she doesn't feel threatened by the new tier of female artists. “Healthy competition, there’s nothing wrong with that,” she said. “That’s normal. That’s just like flirting. It’s a normal human thing.”

Fergie's new album is expected to drop early 2015.
