After Cardi B claimed her historic win for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards, various women in hip-hop rallied behind Bardi. On Sunday (Feb. 10), female rappers like Lil' Kim, Remy Ma, Iggy Azalea and Rapsody all expressed their excitement over Bardi winning the trophy.
"Thank U Jesus!!!! Look at God 🙌 Congratulations boo @iamcardib you deserve it!! So happy for you ❤️ #GRAMMYs," Lil' Kim tweeted.

Bardi's win makes her first solo female rap act to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album. Before her, the only other woman to take home the gramophone in the male-dominated category was Lauryn Hill, who won for The Fugees' album The Score. Cardi also joins the ranks of people like Missy Elliott, Queen Latifah, Nicki Minaj, who are other women who've been nominated for the category.
Other nominees for Best Rap Album were Travis Scott (Astroworld), Pusha-T (Daytona), Nipsey Hussle (Victory Lap) and the late Mac Miller (Swimming).
