Last night, August 5, Drake and Future took over Madison Square Garden for night two of three shows in NYC. The Summer Sixteen Tour was in full effect as Drizzy and the Freebandz ambassador ran through their catalog of greatest hits both separately and simultaneously. Visually, the show proved that both rappers are not only musically at a high point but their live performances are also of the upper echelon, more than ever before. Freshly announced New York Knick, Derrick Rose, was also in the building to put the stamp on his new home. What a time it was to be alive.

Bronx native A Boogie got the show started before Drizzy officially took the stage around 9pm. Appearing amidst a sea of blues and purples on the oversized LED screen, Drake began belting out chart topping hits both old and new. The highlight of the night however, was Drake's floating glowing balls which were introduced mid-show with "Hotline Bling." Not only did they surround the stage, but they also branched out to the crowd as Drizzy floated mid-air performing "Hold On, We're Going Home" and array of other material. Future was introduced with "Grammy" after 10pm before he took over for his set, treating fans with "I Thought It Was A Drought," "F*ck Up Some Commas" and a bunch more. Drake and Future then reunited for "Big Rings" and "Jumpman" before Drake took over solely. The floating balls made their return as the OVO leader set out to give his rendition of his most recent chart toppers from If You're Reading This It's Too Late and Views From the 6. "Controlla," "One Dance" and "Too Good" followed which fans thought was the end of the show but Drake surprised the crowd with Derrick Rose and the basketball star's mini me, P.J. "He's taking y'all all the way, I promise," Drake told the crowd in reference to the upcoming 2016-17 NBA season.

"Back to Back," "Pop Style," "Energy" were used to close the show before Drake performed "Legend" and issued out an array of thank you's. The night seemingly went off without a hitch and there was not a mere mention of the beef with Hot 97 and Funk Flex from night one at MSG. Drake kept night two drama free.
