DJ Drama has plenty of Rolodex muscle to flex, and sometimes he does it more than once on a song. On his recent single, "We In This Bitch," he created an ATL anthem with the help of Young Jeezy, T.I., Ludacris and Future. He wasn't done there, though. Earlier today a new version of the cut, "We In This Bitch 1.5," featuring Drake and Future, was released, and the heavyweight DJ told how it came together.

"As I was working on the video, around that time—as a DJ, we're always thinking about remixes, I don't know why—but I thought about [how] it would be hard to remix the record respectfully with such an originally all-star line up," Dram explained to "So when the thought came about, clearly the record started with Future, and I definitely wanted to give him an opportunity to rock on it and put a verse. When it came down to really thinking what would make sense, I spoke to Drake and wanted to see if he would be interested in rockin' on the record, and he was with it. He sent me back a killer verse. Seeing as Future was on the original, and Drake who's a pretty popular guy these days, I didn't necessarily wanna call it a remix, but 1.5—a little step."

Asked whether or not there would be another remix, or a 2.0, Barack ODrama said he wasn't sure, but he did reveal some details on the progress of his new album. "I don't know [about another version]," he continued. "I'm almost done with my album. I got a lot of records. I got a real special record that I plan on releasing next. So this is kind of my thank you to the people and the fans for the support in the meantime."

The release, which will be a follow up to his Third Power album, which dropped last August, is set to feature some of hip-hop's most exciting young beat-makers. "I got some really great producers on the album," the mixtape icon said. "Hit-Boy, T-Minus, Boi-1da, Cardiak, Jahlil [Beats], [DJ] Mustard." The first single, "We In This Bitch," was produced by another young talent, Kane Beatz. "I got both [types of artists on there]. I definitely got some new dudes making noise, as well as some of the finest."
