The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Reppin' for Brooklyn and the Pro Era collective is 23-year-old rapper CJ Fly. The Cinematic Music Group signee is best known for his 2013 critically-acclaimed mixtape, Thee Way Eye See It. Influenced by the likes of Jay Z, MF Doom, Nas and others, the young MC has adapted a rap style that is reminiscent of the 1990s, but with a new breath of fresh air. He's collaborated with well-respected rhymers in the game like Buckshot and the late Phife Dawg and recently dropped his FLYTRAP album. CJ Fly looks to bring to this year's Freshmen class plenty of lyricism and quality music.

The 10th spot voting for 2017 XXL Freshman will run for one week. This is where the public gets the chance to vote an artist into the XXL Freshman Class. Go here to the 10th spot voting page to make your vote count for your favorite artist.
