A Christian rapper has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for killing a man with his car. Ryan Salandy, who goes by the stage name Ry Money, was convicted in September 2016 after admitting to hitting William McDaniel, a music producer that worked with Salandy, with his vehicle.

The attack took place in September 2015 when Salandy became angry following an argument with McDaniel. The two had a dispute over CDs, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office. Salandy paid McDaniel $300 to burn 150 CDs containing his music, but an issue developed.

A witness told detectives that Salandy drove away after he and McDaniel exchanged words, but returned shortly after the argument. The witness said Salandy began speeding toward McDaniel and struck him, then quickly fled the scene. Salandy's mother called police, told them her son was involved and said he could be found at their home. Salandy went into custody without any questions, but did not even inquire about McDaniel's condition until six hours later.

The hit-and-run attack broke every bone in McDaniel’s legs. Investigators determined that Salandy was traveling between 37 and 49 miles per hour when he hit McDaniel. The man reportedly rolled over the hood of Salandy's car, which sent him soaring through the air before he fell to his death.

Salandy's music is difficult to find. He only has three videos uploaded to his YouTube channel, including this version of Tyga's "Rack City" that can be heard below.
