10 Best Kodak Black Collaborations
Kodak Black is one of the most magnetizing young artists in hip-hop right now. After releasing a collection of fantastic mixtapes such as Project Baby (2013), Heart of the Projects (2014) and Institution (2015) — all around Christmas — the Pompano Beach, Fla. native gained a serious following, which includes many celebrities like Drake and Chris Brown (how ironic right?).
Along with the music, his backstory is very layered. The 19-year-old has been through a number of legal problems and 2016 is barely at its midway mark. Kodak has been arrested twice already this year and is currently sitting in jail facing charges of armed robbery and false imprisonment, among others.
Two years ago, the "SKRT" rhymer opened up about his history of imprisonment, which included juvenile hall, a punishable by life charge and 36 months of probation.
When he's not in trouble, it can be argued that Kodak is dropping some of the best music new artists have to offer. His work landed him a spot on the 2016 XXL Freshman Class cover and the sky is the limit. He recently dropped his new mixtape, Lil B.I.G. Pac, last week.
Even though his career is just starting, Kodak has already built himself an impressive catalog and made some memorable features. His most recent collaboration on French Montana's "Lockjaw," off the Wave Gods mixtape, is keeping his name out there despite being locked up. Now take a look as XXL highlights Kodak Black's best collaborations so far. Skrt, skrt, skrt.
