UPDATE:

Contrary to previous reports, Suge Knight says he didn’t sign over his life rights to Ray J.

In a YouTube clip posted by The Blast on Monday (Oct. 21), the former Death Row Records founder denied that Ray J owned his life rights, which means that a person or company could develop someone else's life story through some type of medium like television or film.

Instead, according to Suge, the R&B singer and entrepreneur will be handling the music side of Death Row Records in the future.

"Yeah, I just heard about the article being released regarding that Ray J has all my rights television, movies, books, you know all that type of stuff," he said. "He don't. Ray J is not just a friend of mine, that's little brother, that's family. And I respect Ray J and his business dealings, that's why I choose him as one of the guys to deal with the music side of the future for as Death Row Records, anything to do Death Row and it's great to have him cause he will be putting out this incredible album and I heard it before."

ORIGINAL STORY:

After news broke that Suge Knight reportedly signed over his life rights to Ray J, a major power player has shown interest in the former Death Row Records founder's life story—50 Cent.

On Monday afternoon (Oct. 21), Fif hopped on his Instagram account and sent a message to Ray J in regards to Suge Knight's life story. “@Rayj call me I know what to do with this...don’t nothing move but the money,” he wrote in the caption alongside a screenshot of the article from TMZ, who broke the story.

According to the media outlet, Suge has reportedly signed over his life rights to Ray J in hopes of securing profit-making deals on the outside, including TV shows, film projects, books and more.

With 50 hollering at Ray J, it's possible that the rap mogul wants to develop some type of film or television project about Suge. Currently, the New York rhymer is producing a series based on the infamous Detroit drug trafficking organization Black Mafia Family. Former B.M.F. leader Big Meech gave the show his blessing in a prison letter last August.

50 Cent, who is performing a few concert dates in the fall, is producing the Power spin-off, Power Book II, starring Mary J. Blige, which premieres next year.
