50 Cent is about as accomplished as a rapper has ever been. Spearheaded by his classic 2003 LP, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, ’Fif has gone on to sell millions of albums worldwide. When Coca Cola made the 2007 purchase of Glacéau, the Vitamin Water manufacturer he had invested in, 50 earned an estimated $100 million.

All this being said, it took 50 finally sitting down and doing an interview with Oprah Winfrey to get some real respect from his grandma.

“So today my grand mother said you on oprah now boy you made it :0) #SK,” 50 tweeted, before posting a picture of himself draping his arm over Winfrey following their taped interview yesterday (June 6).

Oprah was equally excited following the interview, which will air on Oprah’s Next Chapter, a show on her Oprah Winfrey Network, on Sunday night (June 10) at 9 p.m. EST.

“Just leaving Fiddy’s house ..what a great conversation,” the media mogul tweeted, before posting the same picture of the two together. “Lots of surprises, he MEDITATES. Can you believe Fiddy meditates? He was so calm. And charming!”

News of the two making peace surprised many, considering that 50 made disparaging remarks about Oprah for years.

“I think she caters to older White women,” Jackson told the Associated Press in 2006. “Oprah’s audience is my audience’s parents, so I could care less about Oprah or her show.”

50 even named his dog Oprah to mock the former talk show host.

But Sunday, viewers will get to tune in and see the two have a conversation.

“Sunday one of the most successful and controversial ever—for the first time, after years of feud rumors—Oprah and Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson from his grandmother’s home,” the trailer broadcasts.

Sunday’s episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter will also have O interviewing Paris Jackson, the daughter of the late Michael Jackson, nearly three years since the legendary superstar’s untimely death.—Mark Lelinwalla
