24hrs “Legends (Larry Fisherman)” featuring Club 97: Listen to New Tribute to Mac Miller

The Mac Miller tributes continue. After the rapper born Malcolm McCormick's tragic death Friday (Sept. 7) due to a suspected overdose, 24hrs shared a song titled "Legends (Larry Fisherman)" that opens with a dedication to the Pittsburgh native.

The track, produced by Kabba, AutoLaser and Lastnght, finds 24hrs and featured vocalist Club 97 meditating on the mourning process over a plaintive electric guitar riff.

"It's so hard to say goodbye/Why do every legend gotta die/If they take me up, don't cry for me/Please don't cry for me," 24hrs sings on the hook. Later, he offers the song as his own eulogy, "Listen to this when I'm gone/Tell them to turn up the song."

Miller, who also released music under the name Larry Fisherman, worked with artists across genres, cities and social circles, including 24hrs' older brother Madeintyo. The pair collaborated with DJ Carnage on his January single, "Learn How to Watch," which Miller and Tyo performed in April at the Smoker's Club show in Long Beach. Madeintyo has also teased a Mac feature on his next album, Sincerely, Tokyo.

Drake, G-Eazy, Ludacris, Childish Gambino and Elton John have also dedicated performances in recent days to Miller. Chance The Rapper, amid his own heartfelt tweets, shared a demo of his 10 Day song "Brain Cells" recorded over the beat for Miller's K.I.D.S. track "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza."
