A Yung Lean show in Minneapolis was evacuated Sunday night (March 27) after a bomb threat was made on the downtown venue. Fine Line Music Cafe was cleared out by police around 6:30 p.m., BringMeTheNews reports. There were roughly 20 to 30 people admitted into the show space before the performance. Police found no evidence afterward to substantiate the threat.

Minneapolis police spokesperson John Elder told the news site that police were “handling it per protocol,” and that the threat was made via social media. Police secured the block, with Yung Lean leaving the club to return to his tour bus. At about 7:50 p.m., Elder said that police had cleared the area around the venue and had not found anything posing an imminent threat. The bomb squad was additionally on the the scene to conduct a more thorough search. Fine Line Music Cafe, which holds approximately 750 people, called off the show after learning of the threat.

Yung Lean, Fine Line and the Minneapolis Police Department all issued statements via Twitter on Sunday night, with the Swedish rapper writing, "Minneapolis. I don’t know more than you r.n. Will let you know when I have the info." Shortly after, First Avenue, which was presenting the Lean show, wrote, "Yung Lean, First Avenue, & Fine Line regret tonight's Yung Lean show has been cancelled. Contact First Avenue on Monday for more info." About an hour later, the MPD issued the following: "MPD resp to bomb threat at Fine Line Cafe. Nothing suspicious located. Tonight's concert cancelled by Fine Line Staff."

While the cancellation is no doubt disappointing for Minneapolis fans of Yung Lean, safety precautions have to take precedence, and it is relieving to hear that the threats were nothing more. Read the aforementioned tweets below, with the full story over at BringMeTheNews.
