When most people take a selfie and post it on Instagram, the most exciting thing that happens is seeing the names that liked your picture. When a selfie of the President of the United States's daughter gets posted to Instagram, things get a bit more serious.

A few days ago, Pro Era's Instagram account posted a picture of Malia Obama; the President's eldest daughter, rocking a Pro Era tee. Well, what appeared to be an innocuous selfie has reportedly caused the White House to investigate how the picture got into the hands of the New York-based rap collective.

In a 2013 interview with Barbara Walters, First Lady Michelle Obama stated that Malia is only allowed to use Facebook, while Sasha, Malia's sister, isn't allowed to use social media at all.

A rep for Pro Era's ringleader, Joey Bada$$, told Gawker that the crew received it from "a mutual friend" of Malia and a Pro Era member.
