Wells Raps About Love for New Song “Rose”

Charlotte, N.C. rapper Well$ takes a turn from his usual sound and raps about love and eating calamari on "Rosé," his latest single.

Well$ spits tender thoughts over atmospheric production done by VACAY and Tommy Coyote. 

"I'm just puzzled by your mind structure/I've often wondered does your mind wander/in my direction/I can make your eyes water/With this timeless passion," he rhymes.

"After The Way I'm Living Makes My Mom Nervous, I decided to be more hands on the production and with the help of VACAY we started crafting a new project and a new sound,” Well$ explains. “‘Rosé’ is one of those songs that came out of that experience. ‘Rosé’ isn't really what you can expect from the rest of those sessions. I was feeling good, feeling happy in my new relationship, so I decided to capture that moment and made a song for that special woman in my life that pushed me to want more for myself."

Last year, Well$ dropped his album The Way I'm Living Makes My Mom Nervous. The 11-track project contained features from fellow N.C. artists like J.K. the Reaper and Deniro Farrar and plus production by Metro Boomin and more.
