On the one-year anniversary of A$AP Yams' death (Jan. 18), his fellow A$AP Mob members and friends have come together to pay tribute to their fallen friend for a special concert dubbed Yams Day.

The show, taking place at Terminal 5 in New York City, celebrates the life of Yams and features performances from A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, Lil Uzi Vert, the A$AP Mob, Flatbush Zombies, Bodega Bamz and more.

Last month, news of the tribute concert was announced, naming Rocky and Joey as headliners.

A year ago on Jan. 18, 2015, Yams passed away at the age of 26. He was found unconscious by a roommate in their Brooklyn apartment and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Two months later, a chief medical examiner ruled Yams’ death to be an accident caused by acute mixed drug intoxication, which included opiates and benzodiazepine.

Though his passing was marked by drugs, his legacy has since been celebrated by fans, friends and most importantly the A$AP Mob. Yams was the founding member of the Harlem collective A$AP Mob. Through channels like Tumblr, he quickly made a name for himself and his team through bold images and their music. Before his death, Yams stood as one of the major tastemakers in the hip-hop landscape.

The official Yams tribute track "Yamborghini High" was released on Saturday (Jan. 16) through Beats 1. “Boys get Yamborghini high, Lambo by the crib / This is how it is, this is how we live,” A$AP Rocky rhymes.
