This week, Jimmy Fallon took the cast and crew of The Tonight Show from New York City back to its longtime home in Los Angeles. To announce the shift, Fallon and The Roots enlisted DJ Jazzy Jeff to recreate the famous theme song from The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. Unfortunately, Fresh Prince Star Will Smith was unable to participate. Last night (Feb. 5), the actor-slash-rapper made up for lost time, stopping by the Tonight set to chat with Fallon--and to revisit yet another rap classic.

With the aid of a handy app for the iPad, the pair recreated the beat for Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock's classic "It Takes Two." Fallon, calling himself a "classically trained beatboxer," began layering the song, with Smith miming the snares and hi-hats. Without announcing the title of the song to the audience, they began rapping--Smith revised the lyrics to nod to Philadelphia, the home he shares with The Roots. Speaking of the legendary crew, they got in on the fun, whipping the crowed into a frenzy and adding some live instrumentation to the digital skeleton. While a superb talk show host, Fallon is probably a few open mics away from rap superstardom. The Tonight Show closes out its LA run tonight, heading back to the East coast next week.
