In celebration of gracing the cover of XXL’s June 2012 issue, Waka Flocka Flame will be tweeting from XXL’s staff account, @XXLStaff, all next week.

Be sure to hit the Brick Squad rapper with questions, comments or whatever comes to mind next week, especially on Thursday (May 31).

Waka turns 26 on that day, so be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday…but birthday punches wouldn’t be the best idea. (Waka is a big dude!)

It’s an exciting time for the riotous rapper and architect of hits like “O Let’s Do It,” “Hard in da Paint” and “No Hands,” as he’s prepping for the June 12th release of his new album, Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family.

The June cover story has Waka talking about his new LP and where he’s currently at in his career and life, overall.

“I don’t feel like a celebrity, or this quote-unquote star everybody talk about,” Waka is quoted as saying in the issue. “I guess Waka Flocka like a job, honestly. I’m at my job right now, so I gotta do it to my fullest.”

The interview also has him talking about his experience living with Nicki Minaj, dealing with the December 2011 murder of his good friend and fellow rapper, Slim Dunkin, and running Brick Squad with Gucci Mane.

“I got a whole label, man,” Waka told XXL Digital Content Director Carl Chery in the interview. “We fire. We the new Wu-Tang, Roc-A-Fella. We what these labels are trying to create right now. We the new Cash Money. Squad! Flockaveli was the return of gangsta. I brought gangsta back, man.”

With quotes like that, fans already should know that Waka isn’t one to hold back. Thus, remember to log onto XXL’s Twitter account to interact with Waka Flocka all next week, beginning Tuesday (May 29).—XXL Staff
