Episode three of J. Cole's Road to Homecoming documentary series follows Cole along as he embarks on his "Dollar and a Dream" tour. The cameras capture the North Carolina MC and his band as they rehearse for the show run. As Cole and his crew hit the road, the HBO crew talks to the massive groups of fans that have lined up outside each venue and ask what the Friday NIght Lights mixtape means to them and how the songs have changed their lives.

In a quiet moment caught backstage, the 2014 Forest Hills Drive MC and his manager contemplate discontinuing the tour after this year due to the stress that it has caused. At each venue, the lines are packed around the corner and the relationship between the fans and security becomes more and more hostile at each stop.  But the reaction that Cole gets while he's on the stage make the thought of ending the tour seem like a caught-in-the-moment conversation rather than a reality. Along the way, some big names pop up with the rapper onstage and backstage and there is a conversation regarding Kendrick Lamar that is sure to pique people's interest.

J. Cole Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming debuts on HBO on Jan. 9 at 10 pm EST. After that special airs, all of the Road to Homecoming episodes will be removed from the web and will only be available on a future DVD release.
