Velous Lives Life Fast for New Song “Cliche”
Velous is heating up. Back in August 2016, Velous released “Flipmode,” now called “Flipmode (The Alley Oop).” This past August, Fabolous released his version of “Flipmode” featuring Chris Brown and Velous and put out the star-studded video in October.
Most recently, Velous released "Cliché," a record off his upcoming album, The Disco. The high-energy record is made for the club. Once the beat he produced drops, your adrenaline spikes. "Now a days I just wanna flex/Thumbin' through the paper countin’ blessings/Ain’t no telling me take it easy/Blowing money fast, living cliché," he raps.
These days, life is good for the Kingston, N.Y. native so why be humble about it. "I feel like everyone wants to flex sometimes," Velous tells XXL. I especially like to flex on people when they doubted me. It may seem petty, But I know I’m not the only one. Fast cars, jewelry, exotic women and expensive clothes are all are considered a cliché of the the 'Rockstar Lifestyle,' but we’re young and don’t give a fuck, so we enjoy these things and spend a lot of money on them."
