Valee Smokes in the Forest in New “Loading” Video

Valee can't be stopped. The G.O.O.D. Music phenom's come up continues today (July 18) with the release of a new song and music video for "Loading."

The track finds the Chicago native rhyming in his trademark whisper-adjacent rasp about lean, designer labels and chickpea-colored sedans. The self-produced beat pairs hi-hats with an icy ambient synth line reminiscent of Valee's work with St. Louis producer ChaseTheMoney.

"Brand new offset Forgiatos/That's what that mean, dodgin' potholes/I'm tryna keep up with Hermes/Got my chain his and Hermes/I put the bitch in David Yurman/In the four-door, same color hummus/I'm pourin' hi-tech and you know it/My bitch rockin' Phillipe plain," goes the clever hook.

The music video, directed by A Zae Production, places the "Shell" rapper in the woods outside an abandoned home overrun by vegetation. Valee brings along veggies of his own and lights up a blunt while he raps.

It's the rhymer's third new video in the past month, following "Allat" and the Hebru Brantley-directed visual for "Womp Womp," featuring Jeremih. In a tweet on Wednesday (July 17), Valee hinted that a new project is coming.

"I'm bout to just drop one for the hell of it," he wrote in response to a fan demanding a new mixtape.

In other news, Valee stopped by Chance The Rapper's Open Mike event in Chicago this week to perform for teenagers at Harold Washington Library. He joins label mates Pusha-T and Sheck Wes on a 13-show tour kicking off on Aug. 3.
