The title characters for USA Network's forthcoming TV series, titled Unsolved: The Murders of Biggie and Tupac, have just been cast. According to the folks at Deadline, the actors responsible for bringing the larger-than-life rappers to silver screen will be two newcomers by the names of Marcc Rose and Wavyy Jones.

Rose actually played 2Pac for a brief clip in 2015's N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Jonez will make his acting debut in the role of The Notorious B.I.G. after being discovered in a nationwide casting call. It remains to be seen how much screen time both actors will actually get in this TV series, seeing as it revolves around the murder of the two rappers rather than the lives they lived up to that point.

Unsolved is based on the experiences of LAPD Detective Greg Kading, who led a task force focused on finding the culprits behind the murder of 'Pac and B.I.G. He wrote a book, titled Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations, several years back.

In related news, the new 2Pac biopic is all set to hit theaters on the rapper's birthday on June 16. Naturally, that film will focus almost entirely on 'Pac's life and death, though The Notorious B.I.G., played by Jamal "Gravy" Woolard, will also be making at least a few appearances. The folks behind that movie unveiled a new trailer just a couple of weeks back.
