Hip-hop will always have space for tales from the streets, the stories from the voices that usually go unheard. Tsu Surf's career has always existed in these terms, as he frst rose to popularity as a skilled batle rapper, while also making music of his own. For the New Jersey MC to collab with Sacramento rapper Mozzy for the new song "Hell Talk" only makes sense.

"['Hell Talk'] is inspired by the struggle, and the mutual respect between me and Mozzy," Tsu tells XXL. The track, produced by Dave-O (who is also Mozzy's manager) and Euro$, is also Tsu Surf's first release since he was shot in late July, in his hometown of Newark, N.J.

Tsu Surf opens the track, setting the scene of his past. "Car full of demons, I'm with them niggas that don't give fuck about nothin'/ Rollin', clutchin', holdin'/16 and dead, had his summer stolen," he raps, sharing some of the pitfalls of hustling. "Block runs, tryna line the opposite from block numbers/Niggas tell, be up on ya Q's about them cop lovers."

Mozzy gets the second verse and closes out the song. "Make the wrong turn and that's ya ass/Pull extensions out the bag, boolin' bangin' and flag/Shooters baggin' for cash," he spits. "We got 'em soon as he splash/Brotha need a new suit/ Trial comin' up fast/Wilin', doin' the dash."

This won't be all you hear from Tsu Surf this year. According to the rhymer, he's wrapping up two mixtapes and an album. Meanwhile, Mozzy is fresh off his performance at Rolling Loud Bay Area over the weekend and is preparing for the release of his new album, Gangland Landlord, going live Oct. 5.
