Tory Lanez, Cee Kay and More: New Projects This Week
Another week, another batch of dope new music releases—even if this one feels a bit smaller than usual.
Internationally known on the microphone, Tory Lanez drops International Fargo. A surprise release, the mixtape is inspired by the Grammy-nominated artist’s recent global travels. The “Say It” artist crafted the project full of his own renditions of several hits from around the world while accompanying Drake on his European Assassination Vacation Tour. Lanez, who released his third album Love Me Now? in October of last year, has already teased a forthcoming project. Titled El Agua, it’s slated to be a Latin-flavored affair.
Straight out of Pine Bluff, Ark., Cee Kay promises to keep it real. The emerging rapper dropped Blood on My Hands, his first full-length mixtape, early in the week. Prepared to feed the streets with his music, Kay included 11 tracks on the project. Featuring previously released singles such as the YoungBoy Never Broke Again-featured “Pressure,” “Dangerous” and “No Remorse,” Blood on My Hands is sure to keep the momentum going for the Universal Republic signee.
As we alluded to up top, this week's group of releases isn't exactly a full one, but that doesn't mean we aren't getting some fire thrown our way. With Lanez serving up yet another versatile project, and Cee Kay unloading another project filled with relentlessly street raps, there's no way you'll have to go without slaps to nod to over the weekend.
