T.I., who missed last night’s American Music Awards ceremony at LA's Nokia Theater due to his home incarceration, still managed to pick up two awards in the Rap/Hip-Hop category. Tip won in both the Best Male and Album categories, beating out fellow nominees Fabolous, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Young Jeezy. The Cleveland based Bone Thugs, who lost to the King of the South in the Album category, didn’t go home empty handed though. The trio beat out Pretty Ricky and the Shop Boyz to take home the award for Rap/Hip-Hop Band, Duo or Group. The American Music Awards, now in it’s 35th year, honors musicians in genres ranging from Country to Adult Contemporary. For the first time in the Awards’ history, producers allowed viewers to vote for winners in each category via and online poll.
