My style and/or skills have been compared to: Ras Kass cadence wise. Content wise I've been compared to Ice Cube. I've even been called a mixture of Pharcyde and Ice Cube. Style wise I've been compared to The Nonce, Ras Kass, Ice Cube, and Blu to name a few. I think the Ras Kass comparison comes more from vocal tone than style similarities. Content wise I like to mix the abstractness of aesop rock with the realism of 2Pac
My standout records and/or moments have been: Performing "Three Card Molly with Ras Kass and Dynas in South Florida was a stand out moment, live performance wise seeing as Ras is one of the emcees I admired growing up. I also had a good time doing "Sunny Ca" with Fashawn at 2011's Rock The Bells.Touring the states with Blu in 2006 was also a memorable experience. Stand out records are definitely "Love Is" (Prod by Chief), "Pot Ash" (Prod by Exile), and "Only When I Dream" ft. Aloe Blacc & Sene (Prod by Chief) all featured on my debut record, "Before I Awoke," released on Tres Records summer of 2011. I also got a good response on my recent release "Chief" (Prod by Numonics) that will be featured on my next release, Genesis dropping this summer.
I’m gonna change the game by: Being Myself. There is no one in the game that raps like me, thinks like me, or expresses themselves the way I do. I know it sounds generic, but by being myself, I want to inspire others to be themselves, and hopefully in the process, be different. I realize that when you are truly yourself, you rarely resemble anyone else. We have plenty of artists that sound like other artists, but only a few who break the mold.
I’d Like to Work With: Everyone who wants to work with me. But more specifically, Kendrick Lamar, Fashawn, Sia Furler, Ab-Soul, Danny Brown, Fonz E Mak, Blame One, Exile, Alchemist, Chuuwee, Gotye, J.Mitchell, and so on. I got love for almost everyone minus those who don't have love for me.
My goal in hip-hop is: To release good music and make enough money to live comfortably and support my friends and family.
I’m gonna be the next: I'm going to be the first me. I'm not the next anyone. If I had to say who I'd be the "next", Im going to be the next "innovator."
