When the NBA All-Star festivities hit Los Angeles next month, a whole slew of new products and special edition lines are sure to pop up. In celebration of the weekend, Snoop Dogg, taking advantage of his partnership with adidas, will be releasing a hoops-inspired collection—including a tee shirt, track top, and a pair of sneakers.

“We wanted to create something that was different and diverse, and we looked at the All-Star Game as a great opportunity to present something that was in the likeness of me, adidas, and just basketball in general,” Snoop told SLAM for their April issue, set to drop in the middle of February, right in time for All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles. “I had a lot to do with it: the color scheme, the materials, the shapes, the inside, the bottom, all of that. [The collection] has my dog paws all over it.”

The gear’s color pattern, as could be expected, features plenty of purp and yellow, while the kicks will retail at $90. “You gotta keep the price feasible,” Snoop said, “because the thing is, you wanna make it more for your money—and that’s what I’m about. You may spend $90, but you’re getting a $400 shoe.

“We just wanted to make a shoe that felt different,” he continued, “that didn’t feel like no other shoe that was out, that could really represent basketball players that really want to play basketball in something fly Not just something that’s just used as a tool to sell shoes for the player—something that you could wear after the game, when you’re in the club or whatnot. It’s one of those fly basketball shoes.”

While availability details are still vague, SLAM has learned the sneakers will be on sale February 11 in L.A. at Sheikh Shoes. —Adam Figman
