Sir The Baptist drops the video for his Donald Lawrence & Co.-assisted "What We Got" single. The rising MC preaches a healthy message of faith and being true to one’s community and history while playing the role of Commander-in-chief. The video conveys Sir's strong faith in African Americans building strong, self-sustaining communities, especially as it relates to economics. “What We Got,” is really about taking pride and ownership for one’s own community.

"Growing up in Chicago, it wasn't always easy. But having family, faith, music and supporting my community of Bronzeville made it home. As the song says, 'If we're faithful over a few things, the good lord will give you much'," said Sir The Baptist about his new single.

The video follows up Sir the Baptist’s performance at Tidal X: 1015, that benefited the poverty-fighting organization The Robin Hood Foundation. Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill, Common, Robin Thicke and more also performed at the sold-out show. View a glimpse from Sir's moment at Tidal X: 1015 below.
