Show Banga is motivated. The Bay area rapper delivers a new video for "Showtime," a record from his new album, Showtime 2.

Throughout the Young Kez-directed clip, Showy tours different parts of his native San Francisco, including the front steps of his best friend's house. Show Banga tells XXL, "It's where we used to kick it. He passed away when we were 15, it was a way to honor him."

Rocking a Chicago Bulls jacket, Jordan XIIs and a wad of cash, Banga takes the viewer to the offices of the esteemed indie label EMPIRE and the parking lot of the legendary Candlestick Park where the 49ers used to play. It's a wise aesthetic choice, giving the video a rough, vintage feel.

According to Showy, the song itself is all about motivation. He says, "For my album, Showtime 2, I wanted a lot of energy but I also wanted something that people can fully feel, so that’s why I chose ['Showtime'] to be the opening track. [Fans] can turn up to the rest of the songs, but this is something you can put on in the morning, right as you start they day, because it’s a hustler's motivation song."

The West Coast MC named his new project after his father. He says, "It’s showtime, get your day started with that kind of mentality. And that’s what my dad did - he hustled, and that’s why I named the album after him."

You can cop Showtime 2, which dropped on Aug. 12, now via iTunes for $9.99. Check out the "Showtime" video above via YouTube, and keep it locked to XXL for more music from the 'Frisco MC.
