On Monday evening (Nov. 13), the people of Philadelphia made known their disapproval of Meek Mill's new prison sentence when they gathered outside the city's Criminal Justice Center to protest the judge's controversial decision. Joining them were Meek's MMG comrade Rick Ross, Macklemore, Philly native PnB Rock and more.

"I'm here to support my brother Meek Mill. I want y'all to understand that if it take Meek Mill to draw this attention, we gonna use Meek Mill to draw this attention that is gonna speak for so many others," Rozay said at the rally, which saw thousands of people shout the lyrics to Meek's classic "Dreams and Nightmares" intro.

Last week, the Philly rapper was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating his probation for a case he caught almost a decade ago. The cases Meek was arrested for were both resolved, but the judge still saw fit to send the rapper to prison.

Also serving up their support for Meek were folks like NBA Hall-of-Famer Julius "Dr. J" Erving (Philadelphia 76ers) and the Philadelphia Eagles' Malcolm Jenkins, who also spoke at the event.

A little while back, a Change.org petition for Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to reconsider Meek's sentence was posted online. So far, the petition has well over 350,000 signatures. Meek's lawyer Joe Tacopina believes the judge has a grudge against his client, and is now looking to have her removed from the case.
