At the taping of the annual BET Hip-Hop Awards earlier tonight (September 29th) in Atlanta, Georgia, reports from TMZ are claiming a brawl occurred between the camps of Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, which ended with gun shots being fired. Allegedly, a shoving match between Rozay and Snowman occurred, with BET security personnels separating the two rap stars. The celebrity gossip news outlet TMZ added that after the scuffle was broken up, a member of Rick Ross' entourage took out a firearm and fired shots in the parking lot.

This initial report was rebutted with a statement from the spokesperson of the Atlanta Police Department, which told the following to TMZ:

"Shortly after 7:15 p.m. Saturday, a fight broke out in the parking lot at the Atlanta Civic Center (where the BET Awards were being taped) between two groups. Atlanta Police Department officers on scene responded to break up the fight and used OC spray in the process. Individuals fled the scene. There were no arrests or reports of serious injuries. Reports of shots fired appear to be untrue."

Luckily, the altercation didn't cause any injuries, and the taping of the awards show continued on throughout the evening.

So far, police have not officially released the identities of those that were involved with the brawl. —Jaeki Cho (@JaekiCho)
