Donald Trump is the next President of the United States. Yesterday (Nov. 8), Trump was elected commander-in-chief after upsetting the heavy favorite, Hillary Clinton.

Hip-hop fans across the nation are frustrated, disappointed and upset about the outcome of the election. Today (Nov. 9), XXL polled its readers on Twitter to find out which songs people are listening to as they try to get through the day. Many Twitter users responded with tracks from artists including J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Tupac Shakur, Nas and more. You can scroll through the above gallery to view the entire list.

One of the craziest (if not THE craziest) election season is finally over, and Trump has come out victorious. During CNN’s coverage of election night, commentator Van Jones gave an emotional speech explaining what many minority communities felt last night. “People have talked about a miracle. I’m hearing about a nightmare,” Jones said.

In case you missed it, check out how hip-hop reacted to the news of Trump's election victory. Many artists took to Twitter in the middle of the night to voice their frustration. T.I. wrote, “I swear on my life, if I could’ve done more I would’ve. We all deserve better. We just gotta live through this & prepare ourselves for what’s next.” Meanwhile, Remy Ma typed, “I’m truly disappointed in the people that think this is a joke and are posting & making memes; This is real and if any of the rhetoric that was spewed during the campaigns is able to come to fruition I doubt that you’ll be laughing & joking for long."

With Obama in the White House the past eight years, hip-hop and politics began to mix like never before. It helped that Obama is a pretty big rap fan, himself. However, that is not likely going to be the case with Trump at the helm of the country.
