The name Owen Bones might not ring a bell just yet, but one has to be impressed by the talent he assembled for his new single. The Chicago producer linked up with fellow Chi-Town representative Mick Jenkins and Texas rhymer Kevin Abstract for the track "Stuntman."

Owen Bones cooks up a wild production with clashing sounds coming at a variety of angles. The beat maker wanted to craft something that sounds like a club record while still maintaining a message. Enlisting the help of thoughtful artists like Mick Jenkins and Kevin Abstract helped the producer accomplish that goal.

"Stuntman' was a test of my convictions - I wanted to make a rap song that read like a club record while speaking on issues that I find important...specifically, our obsession with consumption and materialism as a culture," Owen Bones told Complex about the track. "I reached out to Kevin and Mick separately, told them about my idea, and they ran with it. I couldn't be any happier with the final result."

This collaboration with Mick Jenkins and Kevin Abstract will be featured on Owen Bones' upcoming Surrender EP, which is scheduled to drop on Feb. 29. As for the vocal talent on the track, they also have some big releases in the works for 2016.

Mick Jenkins is currently working on his debut album [T]he [H]ealing [C]omponent, which is expected to be released this summer through Cinematic Music Group. On the other side, Kevin Abstract is planning to release a new project titled They Shoot Horses later this year.
