Khia Lyrics Used to Protest President Trump at 2017 Women’s March
Donald Trump is officially the POTUS. And with that, he can look forward to four years of pure unadulterated shade. In the first official display of the lack of respect that is going to be put on Trump's name, women from across the nation gathered in Washington D.C. today (Jan. 21) for the Women's March on Washington, one day after the inauguration.
They came from far and wide, in support of women everywhere. One person in particular toted a creative sign that quotes lyrics from Khia's 2002 hit "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)."
"My Neck My Back My Pussy Will Fight Back," the sign reads (above). The quip is an obvious shot at Trump's "grab her by the pussy" statement, that was revealed during his run for office.
The statement has been the butt of jokes from artists and comedians alike. Back in October, Mike Dean sampled Trump's voice on an instrumental track titled "Grab 'Em By the Pussy."
A week later, will.i.am poked fun using the quote as the theme for a Funny or Die sketch.
In the end, it looks like the joke was on us all.
In related news, Frank Ocean recently weighed in on Trump's inauguration, which had a lackluster turnout.
“We all know your event was dry," Frank wrote on Tumblr. "No matter how many times CNN anchors repeat majestic or peaceful transition of power. The world can see America divided and the chaos in the streets. Barack we love you but it would’ve been equally presidential if you would’ve just walked on out while Donald got through that struggle speech trashing your career.”
2020 can't get here soon enough.
