UPDATE:

Cardi B has spoken out to say that the rumors about Nicki Minaj dropping a bag on a gift basket to celebrate her new baby Kulture are not true.

Responding to Hollywood Unlocked on Instagram, Cardi wrote simply "Not true" in response to the story.

Maybe some things are too good to be true. Check out Hollywood Unlocked's post below.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The complicated history of Cardi B and Nicki Minaj may have just added an interesting new chapter.

According to The Blast, Nicki, who, this past April said she was "hurt" by interviews Bardi gave after she and Nicki collabed on "MotorSport," reportedly sent Cardi a $5,000 gift basket to celebrate the birth of Cardi and Offset's baby, Kulture, whom the Bronx rapper gave birth to on Tuesday (July 10).

The celebrity news site reports that the basket, which was supplied by a Los Angeles baby boutique by the name of Petit Tréso, was stuffed with "luxury seasonal clothes, an assortment of dolls and stuffed animals and a sterling silver rattle." It also included some luxury pampering items for Cardi to use for her new baby. Needless to say, pretty swanky stuff for a newborn.

With this development in mind, it might be safe to say Cardi and Nicki are on as good of terms with one another as ever. While there were never outright disses thrown, Cardi and Nicki had long been thought to be beefing. After the two collaborated with each other on Migos' "MotorSport" last fall, Cardi used an interview about the song to indicate that the version of Nicki's "MotorSport" verse she heard was different from the one that ended up on the final iteration of the track.

Months after Cardi's interview, Nicki discussed her feelings about Cardi's response to "MotorSport" with Beats 1 Radio's Zane Lowe. At the time, she said she was hurt. Cardi never responded to Nicki's interview, but a month or so later, at the 2018 Met Gala, Cardi and Nicki were spotted having a conversation and sharing what appeared to be a friendly moment.

Stopping by The Howard Stern Show a couple of days after this year's Met Gala, Cardi explained the way she and Nicki came to resolve their differences. “I never was feuding with anybody," offered Bardi.

She continued, "There was a misunderstanding. She felt a certain type of way about something and I definitely felt a certain type of way about something. Didn’t want to ever talk about it in public because I felt like we gonna see each other again and we will talk about it," the Bronx native quipped. "It’s always little issues but the thing is, fans are always gonna make it a big thing. I spoke to her about it. It’s just like, see? It was just something that it had to be talked about."
