We've been waiting on this intermittently teased Meek Mill and J. Cole collaboration for a minute, but if you let Meek tell it—it's not too far off. During an #AskMeek Q&A on Twitter on Friday morning (Feb. 15), a fan asked Meek when him and Cole would finally be on a song together, and Meek's response was promising.

"Very soon I can’t wait to go bar for bar wit cole he be on some shit!," Meek said.

In early October, Meek shared a photo of himself and Cole in the lab, leading fans to believe that a collaboration would end up on Meek's then-upcoming album, Championships. The project came and there was no Cole feature to be found. Later that same week the album dropped, Meek explained what happened.

"Coming soon," he replied to one fan who asked where the song was, before telling another fan the reason for the hold up was that he was "waiting for cole." The Dreamville rapper is currently working on his sixth album, so who knows—maybe this collab will end up on there. The pair previously appeared together on Wale's "Black Grammys" along with Rockie Fresh and Rick Ross, but this would serve as their first proper collaboration.

Meek and Cole will both be taking the stage at the 2019 NBA All-Star game in Charlotte, N.C. this Sunday (Feb. 17), so hopefully they can hit the studio or at the very least set a date to do so when they see each other.
