Unsurprisingly, Lil Peep and XXXTentacion's unexpected posthumous collaboration has been a commercial success. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the duo's track "Falling Down," had officially reached gold status on Oct. 25 after being released in September.

The John Cunningham-produced track has an upbeat tempo with guitar and handclaps echoing in the background. Peep dominates the chorus as he sings "Shit don't feel the same when you're out of town/So 'Ko, let's watch the rain as it's falling down, yeah," Meanwhile, the "Arms Around Me" rapper comes through with his own deep lyrics.

"Rain keeps falling, tears keep falling/Darling, your love is like walking a bed of nails/And I just can't keep on fine," the late XXL Freshman croons on the track.

While "Falling Down" has proven to be a big-time success, it hasn't been announced as being a part of Peep's forthcoming Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2 album.

On Wednesday, Peep's new song "Life Is Beautiful" was released and announced as a single from his first posthumous album. His mother Liza Womack opened up about her thoughts about the single, and points out the irony of the record.

“This song does have irony, but it also tells many truths. Gus was exploring his feelings and experiences in this song," says Womack, who refers to Peep by a nickname for his born name, Gustav Elijah Ahr. "He was making observations about his own life, and the lives of others. My favorite line is ‘And if you ever need a friend, then you got me.’ Because it is true. Gus was a very loyal and supportive friend. That is one reason why he was so well loved.”

Come Over When You're Sober Pt. 2 drops Nov. 9.
