Over the years, plenty of XXL Freshmen have made some serious viral noise with their cyphers, an electric set of live freestyles from groups of newly anointed Freshmen looking to leave their mark.

These cyphers have, of course, led to countless debates about which group session can carry the title of the best. That question is obviously a subjective one, but there's no debate when it comes to who has the most popular cypher. That one comes down to cold, hard numbers, and today (July 5), we're taking a look at them as we rank the 10 most popular XXL Freshman cyphers.

Presented By Roomi, the safer way to find rooms and roommates at www.RoomiApp.com, the countdown of the 10 most popular XXL Freshman cyphers looks at the groups that ended up getting the most views on YouTube. Some of these rankings might just surprise you.

Holding things down for one particular cypher are Travis Scott, Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson and Ab-Soul, who delivered some tight conventional rapping on their way to 4 million views. In another of the most popular XXL Freshman cyphers, 2016 XXL Freshmen Dave East and G Herbo kept things very hip-hop as they spit some hard bars and earned 7.9 million views.

In the rest of the list, you can see where Chance The Rapper's cypher with Vic Mensa, Isaiah Rashad, Kevin Gates and August Alsina stacks up to XXXTentacion's cypher with Playboi Carti, Ugly God and Madeintyo. It should be interesting to see where each of them land.

Soon enough, fans will see the 2018 XXL Freshman Class— which includes Fort Lauderdale, Fla.’s Ski Mask The Slump God, Miami’s Lil Pump and Smokepurpp, Atlanta’s J.I.D, London’s Stefflon Don, Memphis’ BlocBoy JB, Birmingham, Ala.’s YBN Nahmir, West Palm Beach, Fla.’s Wifisfuneral and Canton, Ohio’s Trippie Redd—serve up their own Freshman cyphers. When those drop next week, we're sure at least a couple of them will land in XXL's top 10 Freshman cyphers.

For now, check out the rankings of the 10 most popular XXL Freshman cyphers in the video above.
