Plenty of rappers cast a wide net over 2015, hoping they'd land a hit single or an album that fared well at Billboard--or, you know, at least a release date. For many, it worked: Drake dropped a surprise mixtape in February, but scored his biggest solo hit to date with a remix he dropped on his radio show in July. Future channeled the heartbreak of a ruined engagement and the aftertaste of a poorly-received sophomore album by flooding the market with free releases. YG only needed one song. The Compton native's sole offering for the first 11 months of 2015 was the sleek, masterful "Twist My Fingaz," a song written and recorded just weeks after he was shot in the hip while recording his second album. But over the weekend, he returned with "I Want a Benz," the 50 Cent- and Nipsey Hussle-assisted second single from his forthcoming Still Krazy. Today (Dec. 14) YG continues the barrage with two new songs, "City Mad" and a freestyle over the R&B singer Goapele's 2001 song "Closer." Both songs feature Slim400, and "My City" also sports a guest turn from Mozzy. Listen to the songs above and below, and note that the cover art for both is a never-before-posted image of YG against a wall tagged with the world "Off My Bullshit." Could a mixtape be on the way?
