Rick Ross and Lira Galore Officially Break Up
Lira Galore has confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with Rick Ross. Rumors of Rick Ross and his fiancée breaking up first surfaced last November. But this newly published interview with Galore is the first official statement on the relationship being ended.
The model told Global Grind that she first met Rick Ross on the set of a Lil Wayne music video.
"I met Ross on the set of the “Thug Cry” video with Lil Wayne, but we didn’t start talking until later, because on set it was just a work vibe," Galore said. "We met again All-Star Weekend and he grabbed me like, ‘yo, I’ve been looking for you.’ We exchanged numbers and the rest is history."
Galore explained that this was the first time in her life that she had been in a relationship with a celebrity.
"This was my first time in a public relationship, so I was happy about putting it out there," Galore said. "But people on social media don’t like to see that type of stuff, so they dug up old stuff that didn’t matter."
The former stripper said that social media did a lot to hurt her relationship with Rick Ross as people kept bringing things up from her past.
"I think the initial breakup was a combination of everything from people digging up tweets when I was 17-years-old tweeting about different people, to the picture of Meek. I went to [Ross'] tagged photos one day and it was only that picture of Meek, and it was just that photo. Everybody just kept posting it and I felt like as a man, he just couldn’t handle it when it was just nothing. I feel like during that time apart he realized he was tripping, so we got back together."
Ultimately, both sides agreed to end the relationship. Galore still has love for Ross, but felt she needed to move on in her life.
"We just decided to go our separate ways," Galore said. "I’m 22 and this was my first time in love and I put it out there. I’m still in love with him, but some things don’t go as you would like them to go."
