Lil Yachty ‘Birthday Mix 3’

Lil Yachty turns the big 2-1 today (Aug. 23), and celebrates another year on Earth by gifting fans with the new Birthday Mix 3.

Lil Boat’s celebratory voyage is truly a mix in the sense that it contains one continuous stream of tracks that are not broken down into song titles. Featured on the release are Trippie Redd, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Gunna, Chief Keef and K$upreme.

The Quality Control rapper teased the project last month, telling fans to mark their calendars. “On da real, gone drop a ep for my birthday 8/23, remember dat,” he tweeted. The day has come, and the 16-minute release is here. Being a birthday mix, one would expect all the songs to be super turnt, but Boat offers a bit of a blend with a peppering of Auto-Tune and some Screw effect throughout the presentation.

Yachty has had a steady 2018, releasing his Lil Boat 2 mixtape in March, which featured 2 Chainz, Lil Pump, Lil Baby, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Offset and more. Last month, he put out the “Who Want Smoke?” single featuring Offset and Cardi B.

Boat recently revealed he will be embarking on The Disrespect Tour with Bhad Bhabie. The tour starts on Oct. 24 in Baltimore, Md., and will feature 23 show dates in all. The duo will hit cities like Pittsburgh, Memphis, New Orleans, Buffalo, N.Y., Grand Rapids, Mich., St. Louis, Mo. and more. The two rappers have formed a budding bond since collabing on the gold single “Gucci Flip Flops.”
