The beef between Lil Wayne and Birdman isn't over despite collaborations and public appearances that purported it was squashed. TMZ reports that settlement talks over Wayne's $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money Records have completely broken down.

The talks reportedly stopped last month as Lil Wayne put the blame of the entire situation on Birdman. The major point of contention in their dispute continues to be Wayne's album Tha Carter V, which remains a priority for Weezy. The "A Milli" rapper thought he and Birdman were finally on the same page about the LP before realizing that nothing had change. This caused Wayne to end their settlement talks.

The new report explains some of Lil Wayne's recent actions. The rapper appeared at the 4/20 Festival in Denver last week and told the crowd to say "fuck Cash Money" during his performance. The New Orleans rapper also took a picture with Trick Daddy and Rick Ross, two men who Birdman has a very public beef with at the moment.

A few months ago, former Cash Money producer Mannie Fresh stated that Lil Wayne and Birdman were still at odds. Fresh explained that he actually had to convinced them to collaborate on the "Hate" single with Juvenile

"Everything is not resolved with [Birdman] and Wayne, but I overcame it by saying to them, ‘We can resolve all that behind the curtain, but for now, let’s make music for the people,” Mannie said. "When it all started coming together, the brotherly love came out. We did the song, then, ‘I wish you the best, we should do it more often."

As long as Lil Wayne and Birdman continue to clash over the release of Tha Carter V, the beef between the two will not end. And the way things look now, it might be heading back to court.
