Two dancers for Lil Wayne’s upcoming tour were arrested on Monday [July 11], after beating up a waitress at a P.F. Chang’s in Hartfort Connecticut, according to the Hartford Courant.

Police say that Jennifer Slaughter, 24, and Della Hamby, 26, were charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace after pulling a waitress to the floor by her hair and punching her repeatedly.

The incident reportedly stems from a disagreement about splitting the bill. The waitress claims she had told Slaughter and Hamby that they should have asked to divide the check at the beginning of their meal, not at the end.

The women then reportedly paid and left, but returned to retrieve a cell phone that they had left behind, at which point they allegedly swore at the waitress and threatened her, before attacking her.

Police later found the two suspects in front of an Old Navy store.

The two women, and an unnamed third companion who did not participate in the assault and was not charged, were in Hartford rehearsing for Lil Wayne’s “I Am Still Music” tour, which starts on Wednesday in the area’s Comcast Theatre. They will no longer be included in the performance, according to Sarah Cunningham, a rep for the tour.

The dancers were released after posting $1,000 bail, and are scheduled to appear at Community Court on Wednesday. —Martin Spasov
