When Lil Uzi Vert isn't skirting the law, he's getting up close and personal with his fans, as one concertgoer learned first hand this past weekend. The Dope Music Festival took place at Washington's Tacoma Dome on Saturday (Dec. 17) with Gucci Mane, Meek Mill, Russ, DJ Drama, Uzi and more slated to perform. As Uzi performs "P's & Q's" off his Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World mixtape, he enlists the help of an unlikely vocalist, who made sure to thank the rapper on Instagram above.

"Thank you @liluzivert for handing me the mic to sing along to your song. lol That was rad. #dopemusicfestival," the fan wrote.

The in-crowd moment caps off what has been an at times concerning year for Uzi and his fans, as the rapper has had to flee from swarms of admirers on multiple occasions. At the Hard Summer Festival in late July, Uzi hopped a fence to escape his crazed fan base. Only a few weeks later, he was attacked at the Day N Night Festival. The following month, in September, he escaped a mob at the Made in America Festival in his hometown of Philadelphia. Considering the close brushes he's had in recent months, the above fan interaction is relatively mild, the music lovers in Washington perhaps a more level headed bunch.

As for impromptu fan collaborations, Uzi joins Kendrick Lamar in sharing the mic with his fans, Lamar just this past weekend inviting fans to perform onstage with him during a secret American Express show in Brooklyn. He had made the gesture in December and May of last year as well.
