Lil Baby and Gunna are giving their fans something to look forward to at the end of this week. The Atlanta rappers' joint project, Drip Harder, will release on Friday (Oct. 5).

Ahead of the effort's release, Lil Baby, who starred in a documentary called Preacherman last week, shared the cover art for Drip Harder in an Instagram post on Monday (Oct.1). “10-5-18 Drip Harder ! I’m Ready Lol !!” he wrote as the caption.

Gunna also teased the release on social media. "Drip Harder 10-5-18 ‼️ Drop a 💦👶🏽 If U Ready 😬🐍🔥 ‼️" he wrote on Instagram.

Fans have been waiting patiently for this release date. Last month, the duo dropped what appears to be the lead single, “Drip Too Hard,” which is produced by Turbo.

Young Thug, a noted fan of the two, went on his Instagram page to share his excitement over the duo’s latest offering. The mixtape has high expectations to meet after Young Thug said in his Instagram story that the project will surpass Lil Wayne’s long-awaited Tha Carter V album. "I’m Wayne’s biggest fans but not goin be harder than ‘HARDER’ by @gunna & @lilbaby_1,” Thug wrote as the caption to his Instagram post.

The two Drip Harder creators linked up earlier this year on Lil Baby's Harder Than Ever project, on the song “Life Goes On" featuring Lil Uzi Vert. The 17-track LP went all the way to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. “This like Harder Than Ever, it’s the name of it, but that’s what I'm on. To me, I’m on a whole different level of rapping,” Lil Baby said when discussing the work to Hot 107.9.

Aside from the joint full-length, Gunna will be joining Trippie Redd and Sheck Wes on Travis Scott's upcoming Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour, on Nov. 8. The 27-date tour will visit fans from Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and many more cities.
