The 2017 XXL Freshman class will be revealed this summer and now the Freshman hopefuls are here to show and prove why they deserve a spot in this year’s class. The 10th Spot voting is happening now, so each of the potential Freshman are letting you know why they should appear on the 2017 XXL Freshman cover.

Philly MC Kur is looking to make a huge splash in 2017, by hopefully landing on the cover of XXL’s Freshman class issue. The rapper is known for a variety of tracks and projects include his collaboration effort with Dave East called Born Broke, Die Rich, his Meek Mill-assisted song "Never Before" and his “Upside Down Cake” series. Last year, he signed a record deal with independent label eOne Music and dropped the Have Not EP. Read up on Kur's story in XXL's The Break.
