After news broke yesterday that Kodak Black would be released from jail, a new report says he is being held after two active warrants were discovered.

The Sun Sentinel is reporting that during the process of being released from Broward main jail in downtown Fort Lauderdale yesterday (Aug. 16), police discovered a warrant for Kodak in St. Lucie County, Florida and another warrant out of Florence, South Carolina. According to the Broward Sheriff's website, the out of state charge is criminal sexual conduct, a felony, while the St. Lucie charges are possession of weed and possession or use of paraphernalia. It wasn't clear why the warrants weren't discovered before the release process.

"One of them is a no-bond hold," said Joy Oglesby, spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff said today (Aug. 17). "At this point he's still going to be in jail. He's not going to be released." Kodak's lawyer declined to comment when XXL reached out.

Kodak was supposed to be released from jail today, but now that won't be happening.

The 19-year-old rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida was sentenced yesterday to a year of house arrest and five years of probation. An Atlantic Records legal executive named Michael Kushner testified on Kodak's behalf, saying he's one of the most important recent signings for the major label.

Kodak was facing charges including possession of a firearm by a delinquent, false imprisonment and other charges that carried a maximum of 55 years.

“I will give you an opportunity, Mr Octave, to prove yourself here, and be a productive member of society," said Judge Lisa Porter yesterday. "What happens from here on out is up to you.”
