Well if you needed any indication of what Kendrick Lamar's first single is going to sound like, here's a clue. The Compton rapper is taking it back to the 70's with his new single by using a classic from The Isley Brothers. According to MTV, King Kendrick used the Isley Brothers' "That Lady" sample for his single "i."

The track produced by Rawki will be dropping this week, after Kendrick Lamar recently released the cover art.

The Isley sample has been used before by several rappers, including The Beastie Boys' 1989 track, "B-Boy Bouillabaisse" and Charles Hamilton's 2009 joint, "The Awkward Prequel."
