Kendrick Lamar recently announced that his next single off good kid, m.A.A.d city would be the Drake-assisted “Poetic Justice.” Now, in a recent interview with MTV, Kendrick explains his vision behind the song’s upcoming video.

In the clip, the Compton rapper revealed that he wants Janet Jackson to appear in the video. If you can recall, Janet Jackson’s “Any Time, Any Place” is sampled on the beat produced by Scoop DeVille. He also states that he wants the appearance wants to be mutual as artist to artist.

"I would say 'Poetic Justice,' that'll be a good follow up single," he said. "That'll be a blessing [if Janet Jackson were to appear in the video]. Janet, c'mon, Janet. No paperwork with the managers, contact the managers. This is artist to artist. This is a young boy that looked up to you for years. Please, yeah, video, Janet Jackson 'Poetic Justice.' It'll only be right”—Eric Diep
