Art Basel 2016 is underway, and Kendrick Lamar kicked off the Miami event yesterday (Dec. 1) with a performance at the Faena Hotel.

Lamar ran through a bunch of hits, including "Swimming Pools," "Collard Greens," "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe," "i," "m.A.A.d. City," "untitled 07" and "Backseat Freestyle."

The Compton rapper performed for 75 minutes in front of a crowd of around 400 people, reports The Associated Press. Black-and-white images appeared on the walls and ceilings as Lamar rapped. Some pictures were more generic, including telephone operators, money counting machines and rocket ships. But some famous political figures, including Bill O'Reilly, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush and Muhammad Ali, also show up frequently.

The show was hot: by the end of the concert, Kendrick told the fans he must've "lost 10 pounds in sweat." The untitled, unmastered. MC was extra appreciative of all those who came out to see him, telling the crowd, "Your energy is what I pull from when I go into the studio and write what I write so I gotta show back the love."

He saved his incredibly popular track "Alright" for the very end of the show. The 29-year-old TDE artist told the crowd, "We celebrate love tonight, not hate."

K. Dot announced the special show, organized in part by American Express, a few days back. “Card members and invited guests will witness a unique intersection of music and art as Kendrick Lamar will excite the audience with an electric performance as artist Shantell Martin conducts live sketching of a larger than life mural mapped to Kendrick’s music,” shared AMEX in a press release.
