Somebody should remind rappers that beef is good for business.

Ratings are up for Jimmy Kimmel Live! after Kanye West's much-talked about appearance on the show in wake of his well-publicized squabble with host Jimmy Kimmel. Kanye's visit boosted the ratings for the show on the night, according to early Nielsen projections on the show.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! won the evening for ABC  after drawing a 1.2 in key advertiser-coveted 18-49 age group demographic, beating out rivals The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (o.7) and The Late Show With David Letterman (0.5).

However, Kimmel, as usual, was unable to best Leno in the ratings for broader demographics, drawing a 2.5 household rating. Leno drew a 2.6 while Letterman topped out at 2.4. Despite Kimmel's inability to beat Leno, his show tied the highest rating they have had since moving to 11:35 p.m. slot last year.
